Shelton Herbert M. The Hygienic System. Vol. 5 Orthogenetics
San Antonio, Texas; Dr. Shelton’s Health School, 1961. — 613 p.
Few subjects, if any, are better calculated to arouse a lively interest in the investigation of natural laws and the phenomena of life at large, than the study of those processes of development whereby the races of animals and plants retain their hold upon the world and maintain a continuous and unbroken round and cycle of existence. In such studies, more than in any others, we seem to gain new and fuller glimpses of nature’s ways and methods in fashioning the varied world of living beings. The knowledge thus gained leads to the comprehension of wider ideas cf nature, more extensive views of life, and may be made to yield a vast amount of “sweetness and light.” It is not too much to expect the systematic study of these processes and functions to lead to the higher delights and more cultured joys that should always follow upon an understanding of natural law and of the hows and wliiys of normal living. Certainly no man or woman can study these marvelous methods and means of reproduction and continue to hold to the view that sex is evil or obscene.
