This is one of many books that has been translated to English, this material wasn't meant for native English tongue. This book is both historical and martial in nature. If you're looking to expand your martial arts skills or add to your already expert knowledge base. This a great book. Sambo is a great art. Practical , and functional. The book is easy to follow with pictures step by step instruction. I'd admit pictures could be better quality but I believe the picture are from original text so a little dated.
